Funeral Services Held for Verner Hatley

Funeral rites were held at the First Baptist Church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. L.B. Jenkins and the Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating, for Verner B. Hatley, who passed away Thursday, January 11, in Dallas. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Hatley was born in Forney June 16, 1902. He received his education in the Forney Public schools. He had been a resident of Dallas the past several years.

Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Louise Kafel of California; four brothers, Lewis Hatley, Fowler Hatley, Warren Hatley and Ernest Hatley, all of Forney; four sisters, Mrs. J.D. Burch, Mrs. J.A. Borth, Mrs. Elizabeth Ash and Mrs. Duard McDaniel, all of Forney and three aunts, Mrs. John Robertson of Forney, Mrs. Tom Hall of Heath and Mrs. George Nash of Dallas.

 

Note: Verner Buren Hatley is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery.
