FARMER, Mrs. Stella, resident of Ennis, passed away Saturday. Survived by husband, E.A. Farmer, 2 sons, Dick Farmer, Forney; E.A. Farmer, Jr., Rock Springs Wyo.; 3 daughters, Mrs. J. Wylie Berry, Dallas, Mrs. Jack Venner, Forney; Mrs. Geoge Anderson, Jr., Conroe; 13 grandchildren; 1 sister, Mr. A.M. Trott, Forney. Services First Baptist, Forney 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment Hillcrest, Forney.

Services Held for Mrs. Ernest Farmer

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist church for Mrs. E.A. Farmer, who passed away at her home in Ennis Saturday afternoon. Dr. Jas. H. Stanley and the Rev. L.B. Jenkins officiated. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Stella Starnes was born near Forney on January 28, 1884. She attended the old Lewis Academy and was graduated from the Forney High school. She later attended Baylor University in Waco.

She was married to E.A. Farmer on August 14, 1912 and to this marriage five children were born.

The family lived in Forney until 1938 when they moved to Kaufman where Mr. Farmer was employed for eleven years in the County Tax Office. Mr. and Mrs. Farmer had been residents of Ennis the past six years.

Mrs. Farmer was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Dick Farmer of Forney and Ernest A. Farmer, Jr., of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters, Mrs. J. Wylie Berry of Dallas, Mrs. Jack Venner of Forney and Mrs. George Anderson, Jr. of Conroe; thirteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. A.M. Trott of Forney.

 

Note: Stella Farmer is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery next to her husband, Ernest Absolom Farmer. She was born January 28, 1884 and died July 16, 1955 in Ellis County.
