Funeral Services Held for Mrs. S.D. Moore

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Thursday morning for Mrs. S.D. Moore who died at here home here Wednesday after a long illness. Rev. W.C. Morro, her pastor, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. M.L. Joines, pastor of the local Baptist church.

Pallbearers were Perry Whittemore, Richard Pinson, Jack Pippins, A.A. Hinton, C.C. Senter and Jack Venner.

Mrs. Snowie Farmer Moore was born in Coffey County, Tennessee, on January 3, 1877 and came to Texas in 1879 where she located with her family at Forney. She was married to Mr. Moore in 1913. To this union was born one son. She was a faithful and active member of the Christian church.

Surviving are her husband, S.D. Moore of Forney; her son S.D. Jr. of New Orleans, four brothers, A.J., O.P. and W.E. Farmer of Forney and Ernest Farmer of Kaufman; four sisters, Mrs. J.H. Clary of Forney, Mrs. Ben Ford of Dallas, Mrs. C.M. Oshield of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Pete Couture of Miles City, Montana. All were present at the funeral except the sister from Montana. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
