Forney, Tex., April 18 - Dennis Murphy, who lives four miles west of Forney, lost a child with spotted fever this morning. It is reported that there is another case in that vicinity. This is the nearest case to this place and it has caused some excitement. Many parties are using disinfectants.

Farm work is at a standstill here on account of the flooding rains of the past few days.
