Kaufman, Kaufman Co., Tex., July 3 - R.H. Russell of Forney was tried on a writ of habeas corpus before Judge Visey yesterday for violating the local option law and was remanded to the custody of the sheriff.

News has reached here that Robert L. Adams, ex-sheriff of this county, is in a dying condition at Forney.
