Michael W. Dennehy, Sr.

Mike W. Dennehy Sr., resident of the Talty community, died at his home there late Sunday evening. Rosary will be recited at the Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Terrell at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Church with Msgr. Casimir Glogowski as celebrant. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park.

Michael William Dennehy, a son of the late Patrick Dennehy and Mary Vaughan Dennehy, was born in Kaufman County on February 3, 1898. He has lived his entire life in this county where he was engaged in farming.

He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church.

He was married to Mary Catherine Adams on April 20, 1927 and to this union five children were born. One daughter has preceded him in death and he is survived by: his wife, Catherine Dennehy of Talty; two sons, Michael Dennehy Jr. and Donald Dennehy, both of Talty; two daughters, Barbara Totaro of Randolph, New Jersey, and Joanne Marriott of Denver, Colorado; nineteen grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Note: According to the Texas Death Index, Michael Dennehy, Sr. died on November 7, 1982 in Kaufman County.
