Joe L. Adams, Jr., Talty resident, died in a local nursing home Tuesday morning. rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Terrell. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin Catholic Church at Talty with Father Casimir Glogowski as celebrant. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park.

Joseph Leo Adams, Jr., a son of the late Joseph Leo Adams and Annie Brennan Adams, was born in Kaufman County, Texas on Feb. 14, 1885. He had lived his entire life in the Talty Community where h was engaged in farming for many years.

He was a life-long member of St. Martin Catholic Church.

His wife, the former Mabel Sline, has preceded him in death and he is survived by: one brother, S.K. Adams of Talty; a number of nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
