George Anderson was born in Kyle, Texas, July 16, 1895. He came to Forney twenty-seven years ago, first entering the gin business, where he remained for some two years then taking a position with the Forney State Bank, having served this institution continuously for twenty-five years. The tribute paid him in the beautiful floral offering was but small evidence of the love and high esteem held for him by his friends.

Surviving him are his wife; his son, George Anderson, Jr.; his mother, Mrs. Mary Anderson; one brother, Thomas Anderson, Jr. of California; two sisters, Mrs. B.G. Duke of Forney, Mrs. W.G. Reidel of Fredericksburg, Texas.
