Sad Death at Forney
Unknown Forney newspaper
1914

The entire comunity was grieved to hear of the death of one of the most beloved members of St. Martin's parish -- Mrs. Catherine Costello -- a notice of which appeared in last week's Southern Messenger. Mrs. Costello, formerly Miss Catherine Higgins, was a native of Ireland. In the death of Mrs. Costello each member of the community has lost a friend for to young and old she always had a hearty welcome, and the high esteem in which she was held was plainly shown by the host of relatives and friends who, in spite of inclement weather, followed her remains to Dallas, where they were taken for interment, and by the beautiful floral offerings.

Mrs. Costello is survived by six children and nine grandchildren; John and four children; Mrs. Clem. Adams and five children; and Mike, Mary, Delia, and Will, to all of whom our deepest sympathy is extended on the loss of their faithful mother and friend. May God in His goodness and mercy lighten their grief is the prayer of

A FRIEND.

R.I.P.

Note: There's a Kate Costello in the Precinct 2 (South Part), Kaufman County, Texas census. She was born August 1852 in Ireland and is listed as widowed, with six children living in the household.
