Mrs. Bessie A. Anderson

Mrs. Bessie A[my] Anderson, long time resident of Forney, died in Seagoville early Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church in Forney at 2:00 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Jerry Griffin and the Rev. L.B. Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest cemetery in Forney under the direction of the Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anderson, a native of Tennessee, was born on February 7, 1882. She came to Texas as a small girl and lived the greater part of her life in and near the city of Forney.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was married to W.K. Anderson on August 12, 1900 and to this union seven children were born. Her husband and two children have preceded her in death and she is survived by three sons, Hubert Anderson of Tyler, Raymond E Anderson of Forney, and W.K. Anderson, JR. of Dallas; two daughters, Ruth Ballard of Dallas and Helen Breithaupt of Houston; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Susie Ballard of Dallas; a number of nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
