Forney, Tex., Oct. 20 - Yesterday evening a very painful accident occurred five miles east of Forney. Tommie Ridgell, a boy 12 years old, was driving a wagon which contained several persons from the city, when the horse became frightened and ran away, bruising several and seriously injuring Mrs. P. Edmond, who was visiting the family of R.R. Ridgell. The wounds were dressed by attending physicians and all are glad to note that she is improving nicely.

Mr. G.W. Reynolds has erected in South Forney an extensive grist mill, and in connection with it he will run a corn sheller and woodsaw.

The sad intelligence of the death of Miss Lizzie Dortch was received here Thursday. She was buried at Abilene, Tex. She was a former resident of Forney and has many friends who are grieved to hear of her sad death and sympathize with the heart-broken parents.

Mr. Thomas Laydend's elegant residence in the suburbs of the city is nearly completed. It is one of the handsomest homes in the city.

The cotton crop is rather late, but is thought to be better than expected.

The Forney Register has been changed to an all-home print; it is a beauty.
