Class of ’36 was Guest of Honor at ’86 Homecoming

The graduation class of 1936 was the honoree at the recent 1986 Homecoming of Forney High School.

Members of this Texas Centennial class were Lucille Bratcher, Bobby Farmer, Georgia Faye Lindsey, Elizabeth Hatley, Vera Nalls, Jessie Butler, Oleta Compton, Margaret Lewis, Allegra Chapman, Thomas Spellman, Harvey Compton, John Boles, Glen Robertson, Jimmy Criswell, Hugh Sims, Roy Neal, Joseph H. Jones, and Muriel Ligon.

Attending Homecoming in 1986 were Oleta Compton Bailey, Lucille Bratcher, Thomas Spellman, Vera Nalls Elliott of Dallas, Jim Criswell of Temple, Allegra Bell Futrell Chapman, Elizabeth Hatley Ash, John Boles, and Muriel Ligon of Forney. Roy Neal of Kansas, Rev. Joseph H. Jones of Cypress, Texas, Margaret Lewis McConachie, Bobby Farmer Anderson and Hugh Sims were not able to attend. Four of our classmates, Jessie Butler, Georgia Faye Lindsey, Harvey Compton and Glen Robertson, are listed in our own Book of Memories.

After a bountiful meal and hours of recalling so many memories, the members of the Forney High School Class of 1936 parted, looking forward to another Homecoming.
