Mrs. Sophia Tune Passes, Services at Forney

Mrs. Sophia Tune, age 77, of Forney passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Scott Ferguson, in Royse City, Thursday morning at 9:30 o’clock. She had been ill for a year, the end coming after a cerebral hemorrhage.

Surviving are seven sons, Travis, Walter and Hobson Tune of Forney, William G. and James Tune, Longview, Alvin Tune, Ranger, and Dozier Tune, Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Walter Ealy and Mrs. Clifford Owens, Richardson, Mrs. Scott Ferguson, Royse City, and Mrs. Fletcher McKinney, Coleman.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock from the Forney Presbyterian Church with burial in the Forney cemetery.

The many Richardson friends of Mrs. Ealy and Mrs. Owens extend sympathy in their loss.

Note: Sophia Dozier Tune is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery with her husband, Thomas Caleb Tune, Sr. and son, Thomas Caleb Tune, Jr.
