Miss Jonnie M. Shands, 97, of 4829 W. Lawther Drive, a Dallas resident since 1963, died Friday in Dallas.

Miss Shands was a native of Forney, Kaufman County, and had been a Forney resident most of her life. She was a member of the Mesquite First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Mesquite First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney.

Miss Shands is survived by one sister and three brothers.
