Graveside services for Mrs. Matilda Jane mills, 81, early Forney resident who died in a Dallas hospital Wednesday, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Forney.

During the last several years she had been living with a cousin, Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Ball, 1215 Ballard.

She moved to Forney in 1892 with her family and married Thomas Tearson Mills there in 1896. He was a clothing store owner, a lumberman and a dairyman in Forney and died in 1933.

Mrs. Mills was born in Talladega, Ala. Her father was a Baptist minister. The family moved to Arkansas in 1874 and then to Texas, settling in Forney. She was a member of the Forney Baptist Church.

Surviving are six half-sisters and one brother, Graves Adams of Arkansas. She had no children, but another cousin, R.R. Ball is a Dallas resident.

Campbell Funeral Home, 300 West Davis, is in charge of arrangements.
