Mrs. Mary Kate Wilmarth, Widow of Landowner, Dies

Mrs. Mary Kate Wilmarth, 87, widow of I.L. Wilmarth who was a landowner and implement dealership operator in Kaufman, Collin and Dallas Counties, died Tuesday at her Dallas home, 1218 North Haskell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthews Episcopal Cathedral, 2100 Ross. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Forney.

A native of Devonshire, England, Mrs. Wilmarth was brought to the United States when she was 8. Her family settled in Kaufman County.

She had lived in Dallas since 1913. Her husband died in 1937.

Mrs. Wilmarth is survived by two daughters, Miss Ruby Wilmarth and Mrs. L.L. Layton, both of Dallas; two sons, Fred L. Wilmarth, Sr., Allen, Collin County; and Raymond V. Wilmarth, Dallas; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
