Lawrence Earnest Greenwell

Lawrence Earnest Greenwell, 107 Charles Lane, Terrell, died Monday. Funeral was held from St. Martin’s Catholic Church at Talty Wednesday with Rev. Sullivan officiating, with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Terrell.

Mr. Greenwell was born in Payneville, Ky. on Dec. 17, 1880. He came to Texas in 1910 and settled on the Irish Ridge where he lived for 54 years. He had been a resident of Terrell since 1964. He was a member of St. John’s Church in Terrell. He married Miss Theresa Gertrude O’Bryan on Nov. 25, 1903 and to this union nine children were born.

His wife and one son preceded him in Death. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rose Pierce, Mrs. Ethel Muse and Mrs. Gertrude Shepherd, all of Terrell, Mrs. Beulah Broyles of Crandall and Mrs. Catherine Sproul of Keyport, N.J.; three sons, Louie, Robert and Joe Greenwell of Terrell.
