Funeral services for J.R. Runnels, 56, of 1622 Loris Lane, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of God In Christ in Forney, Kaufman County. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in Forney.

Runnels, a Dallas resident for 30 years, died her Wednesday.

He was a native of Kaufman County and a World War II Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa, two sons and two daughters.
