Dr. N.B. Shands, 70, well-known physician at Forney for forty years, died Friday at his home in Wewoka, Ok. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. H.A. Sweatt of Wewoka, and two sisters, Mrs. J.E. Douglass, Sr. and Mrs. L.B. Walker, both of Forney.

The funeral cortege will leave the chapel of the George A. Brewer Undertaking Company at 9 o’clock Saturday morning. The body will be taken to Forney for burial.

Note: Dr. Newton Brown Shands and his wife Lucy Stephenson Shands are buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney.
