Forney, Tex., May 21 – Mrs. Ella Ashley, daughter of R.H. Hughes, killed herself last night with a pistol. She shot herself in the head three times. She had only been married about two weeks.

Note: Ella Hughes is listed in the 1900 Precinct 2 (Forney), Kaufman County, Texas census, daughter of Rufus H and Emaline Hughes. She was born May 1883 in Alabama. She is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery under her maiden name.
