Mrs. Augusta Costello

Rosary was recited Friday evening at the Anderson Funeral Chapel in Terrell for Mrs. Augusta R. Costello who died Thursday of last week in a Dallas hospital. Funeral Mass was held Saturday morning at St. Martin’s Catholic Church at Talty with the Rev. Casmir Glogowski as Celebrant. Interment was in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell. Pallbearers were Jack Pippins, Ray Adams, Jr., Ed Costello, Mike Goodnight, Bill Costello and Ed Ratcliffe.

Mrs. Costello, a daughter of the late Thomas and Louisa Werner Reynal, was born October 7, 1893 in Forney. She lived her entire life in and near Forney. She was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church and of the Altar Society. Her husband, William O. Costello and one son, W.O. Costello, Jr., preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Patrick J. Costello, Thomas M. Costello, both of Dallas and Dennis L. Costello of Mesquite; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Hughes of Dallas and Mrs. Freddie (Agnes) Goodnight of Austin; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The Family of Mrs. Augusta Costello is grateful to the people of Talty and to her Forney friends for the cards, letters, flowers, phone calls, prayers and the delicious food furnished during the illness and at the passing of our loved one. Your concern is a precious thing to us. May God richly bless each of you.

The Talty community was saddened last weekend by the passing away of one of St. Martin’s parishioners, Mrs. Augusta Costello. She will be missed by her many friends at Talty.

Tom Costello, Sr. and children, Phil, Cindy and Tim, Mrs. John Roger Walker, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Costello, all of Dallas, attended funeral Mass Saturday morning at St. Martin’s for Mrs. Augusta Costello.
