Mrs. Will Sline Dies, Rosary Recited Tonight

Mrs. Will Sline, pioneer resident of the Irish Ridge community, died at her home there early Sunday morning. Rosary will be recited at the Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Terrell at 8:00 p.m. Monday. Requiem Mass will be held from the St. Martin’s Church at Talty at 9 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Casimir Glogowski as Celebrant. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park.

Agnes Verbena Sline a daughter of the late Pat Talty and Bridget Heatherman Talty, was born in Lake City Minnesota on February 18, 1877. She came to Texas and to Kaufman County with her family as young girl and has been a resident of the community kown as the Irish Ridge for more than seventy years.

She was a life long member of the Catholic Church. She was married to Will Sline on February 6, 1901 and to this union four children were born. One daughter and one son have preceded her in death and she is survived by: her husband, Will Sline of Forney; two sons, Pat Sline and Tommy Sline both of Forney; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Walker of Dallas; a number of nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
