Forney Resident Heads Mesquite Soil Board

Mesquite, Texas, March 7 – Carl Senter of Forney was elected president of the Mesquite Soil Conservation Association at a meeting at the high school Monday night. Other new officers are E.B. Range, Mesquite, vice-president; Joe Hughes, Heath, secretary; W.B. Hailey, Mesquite, treasurer, and Bedford Galloway and J.E. Coyle, directors.

Speakers included Paul H. Walser, State coordinator of soil conservation; E.V. Varnell, soil conservation project manager at Garland, and J.L. Norton, superintendent of the Mesquite CCC camp.
