Forney Man Cashes In

Only eight contestants picked all 12 games right in the seventh week of “Touchdown,” The Dallas News football contest, but 91 hit 11 games correctly. When the predicted scores were applied, those with 11 right who were within 19 points of the scores shared in the prize money.

The $100 first prize was won by P. Youngblood of Forney, 12 games right and 19 points off on the scores.

Fred Smith of 1863 Riverway Circle (12 right, 27 points off) took the $50 second prize, and third ($25) went to Francis Ware of Denison (12 right, 28 off).

Fourth ($15) was won by D. E. Whilden of 2007 Choctaw in Irving (12 right, 32 points of) and fifth ($10) by E. L. Townsend of Stephenville (12 right, 34 off).

In all, 25 contestants won $300 in prize money, including the following, who will receive $5 each:
