Forney Gap Surfacing Work Promised Soon

Dallas Morning News

Early completion of the hard surfacing on the so-called Forney gap of the Dallas-Terrell highway was promised Wednesday at the meeting of the highway committee of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce.  T.M. Cullum, as chairman, presided.

Progress toward the completion of other projected highway improvements was reported.  The Federal highway extending from Oklahoma through Gainesville and Denton to Dallas and thence to Houston has been aided materially by recent bond issues voted in Navarro and Leon Counties, it was said.  This is Federal highway No 75 and will ultimately give a hard surfaced road from North Teas to Gulf by way of Houston.
