Compiled primarily from Men and Women in the Armed Forces from Kaufman County (published by American Legion Post No. 162, Terrell, Texas, 1944?).

Supplemented by records of the Forney American Legion Post; the Forney Messenger, 4 and 25 October 1945; and personal recollections of local residents, including Dan Taylor and Mick Spellman.

Enlisted in the Army Air Corps in May 1943. Received wings in Colorado, and B17 training at Hobbs, NM. Was a B29 pilot and was  killed  in an accident on November 10, 1944 in Clovis, NM.
