Mary Ann Crosier Engaged to Dr. Leon Brodie Sowell

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Byron Crosier of Cleburne have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Ann Crosier, to Dr. Leon Brodie Sowell of Mesquite. The prospective bridegroom is the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Leon Brodie Sowell of Forney.

The wedding will be Jan. 5 at 7 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, Cleburne, and the Rev. Charles Pitts will officiate.

Attending the bride-elect will be Miss Flo Scott of Stamford, maid of honor; Miss Jean Spoonts of Dallas, Mrs. Terrell Hines of Waco, Mrs. Bill Barker of Cleburne and Mrs. Dan Coates of Fort Worth. Jane Patrick of Cleburne will be flower girl.

Dr. W.A. Russell, Terrell, will act as best man. Ushers will be Dr. J.R. Avann, Dr. E.K. Franklin and Dr. J.F. Roark, all of Dallas, and Cecil Stewart of Cleburne.

Miss Crosier attended the University of Texas, where she belonged to Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and was graduated from TCU. Her fiance attended Southwest Texas Teachers College and Baylor University College of Dentistry. He belongs to Psi Omega, dental fraternity.
