Jennings-Riter Wedding Performed at Christian Church

A wedding of widespread interest was solemnized Friday evening at the First Christian Church of Terrell when Miss Ruth Riter, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Auble Whitted Riter, of Terrell, became the bride of Mr. Richard Autrey Jennings, son of Coach and Mrs. Morley Jennings, of Waco, with the Rev. W.E.B. Lockridge of Ruston, La., former pastor of the Baptist Church of Terrell, performing the double ring candle light ceremony before an alter banked with palms and Southern smilax.

Various pre-nuptial numbers were rendered by Mr. John D. Hammond and Mrs. W.P. Allen, Jr., also of Terrell. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was held at the Riter home with Mrs. A.W. Riter and Mrs. Morley Jennings receiving the guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Jennings will be at home in Washington, D.C.

She is a graduate of Baylor University where she was a member of the D.A.P. Club and also attended T.S.C.W. for two years. Mr. Jen-gymnasium (sic) two weeks ago students of Baylor University is now attending the George Washington University Law school.
