Mr. Futrell and Bride to Live in Beaumont

Marriage of Charles Futrell & Mary Young

Now on a wedding trip to New Orleans, La., Charles Mulkey Futrell and his bride, the former Miss Mary Anne Young, will live in Beaumont.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clair Young, formerly of Dallas, now of Cedar Hill. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Juanita Futrell, 4754 Gladstone, and Robert Futrell of Forney.

Both the bride and her husband are graduates of North Texas State University. Mrs. Futrell is a member of Phi Chi Theta and Phi Beta Lambda, and the bridegroom is affiliated with Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Dr. J. Woodrow Fullr officiated at the Friday evening ceremony in Slaughter Chapel of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Young gave his daughter in marriage. Miss Martha Clair Young, maid of honor, and Mrs. Marilyn Young, matron of honor, attended the bride, and John William Firestone served as best man.

The bride wore a gown of cream silk designed with an A-line skirt, a bearded lace jacket and a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses centered with butterfly orchids.

Bridesmaids were Miss Mitzie Menzie and Miss Sharon Fowler of Grand Prairie. Serving as groomsmen were Glenn Maxwell Young, David Vanson Roberts and Hosie Gaston. Ushers were E.J. Creech and Gary Compton.
