Nora Rita Brennan Exchanges Nuptial Vows with Fred Cook

Miss Nora Rita Brennan, 5106 Bryan, and Fred L. Cook Jr. exchanged wedding vows Wednesday evening in Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Rr. Rev. Anthony E. Daley of Wichita Falls officiated, and music was presented by Sam C. Kennedy and Paul Schaefers.

The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James F. Brenan of Forney. The bridegroom is the son of Fred L. Cook, 3307 Elihu, and the late Mrs. Cook.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Robert E. Kelly, the bride wore a formal gown of white tulle and Chantilly lace over satin. It was fashioned with a high collar, illusion yoke, long sleeves and small bustle. A pearl-trimmed bandeau of lace held her waist-length illusion veil. She carried white orchids on a white prayer book.

Her attendants were Miss Bridget Brennan, maid of honor; Mrs. Cleo G. Dreyer and Miss Margaret Ferrero, bridesmaids, Mr. Dreyer was best man, Neil F. Ventura, Pat A. Schnitzius, Asa L. Leger and Steve G. Benit Jr. were groomsmen and ushers.

At a reception in the Melrose Hotel, the house party included Mrs. William M. Ott, the bride’s sister; Miss Florence Sline and Miss Ann Brennan.

The bride and bridegroom will make their home at 3307 Elihu after a wedding trip to New Orleans, La.

Mrs. Cook is a graduate of St. Paul Hospital School of Nursing, and Mr. Cook was graduated from Jesuit High School.
