Carolyn Senter Betrothed to Lt. Taylor Armstrong

The engagement of Miss Carolyn Senter to Lt. Taylor Armstrong, USNR, was announced by her aunt and cousin, Mrs. R.L. Douglas and Miss Ann Ella Douglas, at a luncheon Saturday in the Mural Room. Miss Senter is the daughter of Carl Senter of Forney and Lieutenant Armstrong, formerly of Dallas, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Armstrong of Plano.

Miss Senter has set Aug. 1 as the date of the wedding, which will take place in the Forney Christian Church. A reception will be given afterwards by Mrs. Guyton McKellar at her home in Forney.

Miss Douglas will attend the bride-elect as maid of honor and Mrs. Carl McWherter of Paris as matron of honor. Bridesmaids will be Miss Emily McKellar of Forney, Mrs. Carl Hunt of Dallas, and Mrs. Charles B. Campbell, Forney.

The bride-elect attended Forney High School and was graduated from Southern Methodist University. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Lieutenant Armstrong is a graduate of the SMU school of law. He is now stationed at Bethlehem, Pa.

Luncheon guests were the honoree, Mmes B.B. Hulsey, James K. Brooks, Campbell, Leonard Reagin, McKellar and Lucas Stevenson, all of Forney; Mrs. Will Armstrong and Mrs. Frank Armstrong, Plano; Mrs. K.E. Yates, Mrs. Harry Greer, Mrs. Hunt, and the hostesses.

Among those planning to entertain in honor of Miss Senter are Mrs. Taylor Jackson and Mrs. Frank Armstrong, Plano; Mrs. McKellar and Mrs. Brooks, Forney, and Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. Greer.
