COMMERCE – Forney’s Jackrabbits continued undefeated Friday night and they did it with an impressive victory.

The Rabbits came alive in the second half to whip Commerce Tigers, 41-0. The score was 7-0 at halftime.

Forney had a decisive edge in statistics, gaining 25 first downs to 6 for Commerce, and 308 total yards to 103 for the Tiers of District 15-AA. Forney is in 14-A.

Larry Bush scored the first two runs of two and eight yards. Robert Motsenbocker took a 28-yard pass from John Wortham and Sammy Beeler trotted 30 yards for paydirt to give the Jackrabbits a 27-0 edge going into the final period.

In the fourth quarter George Schlebeck recovered a fumble in the end zone and Dale Penny plunged one yard for touchdowns.

Don Morrison kicked five of six extra points for the victors.
